If you think of any others, just let me know.

You are right, that the huge trees can be very soothing.
TracyKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08303342674824383688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4167054806459662988.post-85380889332226603922022-02-10T21:45:09.413-08:002022-02-10T21:45:09.413-08:00I like the pictures - the trees are majestic yet a...I like the pictures - the trees are majestic yet also soothing, if that is possible.

A varied month, indeed!

I am trying to think of good time travel mysteries but I must be tired - I just can’t. Book Lust and More Book Lust are similar (but not at all repetitive), she just came back and covered areas she had missed in the first book. Book Lust to Go has tons of great suggestions for books set in or about different areas all over the world.

I am glad you enjoyed the tree photos.
TracyKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08303342674824383688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4167054806459662988.post-60373005438024094662022-02-07T15:36:32.226-08:002022-02-07T15:36:32.226-08:00Sam, you are right, it is the areas where the tree...Sam, you are right, it is the areas where the trees get really large that are gorgeous. Rocky Nook Park, near the area of Santa Barbara County we lived in when we first moved there, is like that. And of course the Botanic Gardens.

I saw on your blog that that you had enjoyed the Book Lust series. And I read your review of Book Lust to Go. That one is also very good. I have also been checking out your post on "Who Doesn't Love Books on Books?". Lots of good books there, and many I haven't read yet.
TracyKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08303342674824383688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4167054806459662988.post-88893249521591225282022-02-07T15:29:28.927-08:002022-02-07T15:29:28.927-08:00Patti, I have only been to San Diego once, in the ...Patti, I have only been to San Diego once, in the early 1970s when I first arrived in California (and lived in Riverside). Santa Barbara has some beautiful areas for sure.

I envy you a good used book store nearby and all those Simenon books there. We haven't been to downtown Santa Barbara hardly at all since Covid started, but we should go check out the used bookstore there sometime soon. And there is one on the Mesa that I had forgotten about, very tiny, but owned by an old friend of ours.
TracyKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08303342674824383688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4167054806459662988.post-8724925516557507372022-02-07T10:40:07.225-08:002022-02-07T10:40:07.225-08:00What great old trees those are. I love to see what trees mature into when left on their own to get to it rather than having someone tame them every year or so.

I have those "Book Lust" titles around somewhere myself, and I've used them several times to point me in a new reading direction. Now I'm wondering where I've put them.

Happy February reading!Sam https://www.blogger.com/profile/17448913705757509608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4167054806459662988.post-45890914386484566662022-02-07T05:25:59.791-08:002022-02-07T05:25:59.791-08:00Rather interested in the Book Lust series which I ...Rather interested in the Book Lust series which I don't think I've heard of before.

Beautiful tree photos!Cathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06371069000185280668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4167054806459662988.post-60394477422769897842022-02-07T04:52:49.141-08:002022-02-07T04:52:49.141-08:00I have never been to Santa Barbara.
