It is Green for Danger by Christianna Brand.

I enjoyed the first two books in the Irene Huss series but have not yet read the third book. I think the reason we find hospital mysteries unnerving is that we too easily imagine ourselves lying in a hospital bed vulnerable. Most mysteries take place somewhere else, while we are comfortably in a chair or bed!

I feel as if I have read several books with hospital settings, apart from The Daughter of Time. I suppose they were books by Michael Palmer or Tess Gerrisen and I didn't care enough about the characters to continue with the series.CLMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03595294217111602231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4167054806459662988.post-25309723940749892432018-08-11T12:49:15.854-07:002018-08-11T12:49:15.854-07:00I do think I remember seeing comments of yours at ...I do think I remember seeing comments of yours at other reviews of Tursten's books, Kathy. Is that what we've come to? The one I'm reading now has that too, and I'm not at all sure it's needed for the overall plot, it just seems to be added in to make the reader sympathetic to the peripheral character, or else increase dislike for the man, who is already a "bad guy". But off the soap box...

I have read only a couple of Scandinavian mysteries, and they both were very hard-edged.
