Gratitude and Appreciation

I am grateful to Moira at Clothes in Books for nominating me for The Very Inspiring Blogger award. Please check out her post with nominations of other amazing and inspiring blogs, many of which I enjoy also.

Moira has one of the most unique blogs that I know of  -- at least in the world of book blogging. She posts every day; usually the posts focus on a book and the use of clothes within the book. The posts are illustrated with interesting photos from a variety of sources. This is a good example, one of my favorite books ever: Berlin Game by Len Deighton. It amazes me that Moira can find all of the pictures; even if I could do as good a job I would not have the patience. It is hard work.

Moira features all types of books on her blog, but she does have a fondness for crime fiction. I have picked up many suggestions for books, both in the crime fiction genre and general fiction. She has expanded my horizons. Check out this sample of her favorite crime fiction from 2013.

Moira has also fed my addiction to books with skulls or skeletons on the cover. See my post on Hercule Poirot's Christmas.

One of the requirements of the award is to list seven facts about myself, which I have done here. One additional fact is that I have been blogging for a little over two years and I never realized what an enriching experience it would be, meeting a variety of bloggers with so many interests and varied experiences to share.

The photos were taken and processed by my husband.

  3. I somehow missed your first nomination and when I went to go look at your previous post, I see why I missed it. I was on vacation at that time. So without further ado, congratulations to you, Tracy! I've mentioned this before but I do consider your blog influential and have bought several books from your reviews so keep up the good work!

    1. Thanks, Keishon. Me, too, I have bought books on your recommendation. The most memorable is the Donald Harstad book, Eleven Days. Loved it.

    1. You are welcome, Moira, and all deserved. I wanted to adorn the post with some pics of clothing that Glen had taken, and was pleasantly surprised that the first ones I saw had skulls on them.

I have changed the commenting format on my blog because some people were having problems with commenting. I hope this improves the commenting experience here.
